I want to say thank you to all the colleagues I have ever worked with at Oracle especially my colleagues in Oracle Advanced Customer Services (ACS) Implementation Team and Operations Team (Tier 1, 2, 3, PSE) as well as the Oracle Fusion Middleware Teams. They allow me to grow into who I am today. I want to thank you for the support they all provided during the Oracle in-house community project I created. Without their interest in participation, it won’t exist. I consider myself so lucky to work in an office with such caring, hard-working individuals. Thank you so much for all of your support and effort with the project. We couldn’t have completed it without you. I truly appreciate your ‘can-do’ attitude. I’m lucky to call you a coworker.

When I heard a grimace at a high-pitched noise across the corner on the same floor in the Oracle Reading office in the UK the other day, I discovered one colleague, a software developer in the VirtualBox product development team, who was upset at work. I proceeded to his desk to see what I could do to assist him. After speaking with him, I learn that he was frustrated by being separated and completing his work in the UK while his other team members in Germany were doing different things. I walked him through what I had done and mentioned several colleagues from other product development teams sitting across the room on the same floor who have been involved in an internal community I established to help share business intelligence. Since he was aware of my community programme, he was delighted to join me, and I saw that he felt relieved that he could be part of a community with similar minds from other development teams locally. I am also pleased that I have helped somebody in the office.

Now, fast forward to today by talking about VirtualBox, which provides an additional feature to even be able to reset Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) instances in the Big Red cloud. What a great Oracle’s team effort!
